MANSFIELD – Plans are moving forward to replace the old Paine School with a brand new bank.

The Planning Board unanimously approved the site plan for a Chase Bank at the corner of Chauncy Street (Route 106) and Copeland Drive at its Feb. 9 meeting. The old Paine School has stood vacant on that site for close to 25 years.

Cobble Hill Development from Rhode Island plans to purchase the old brick school as well as the former medical office and a residential home on the site.
