MANSFIELD — Community Servings has a motto: “Food Heals.”
And it’s been healing its clients now for 34 years.
The nonprofit opened a 23,000-square-foot facility in the Cabot Industrial Park on Monday with plans to distribute 10,000 meals a week to people who have severe illnesses like cancer or end-stage diabetes.
The meals are individually tailored to the patients’ specific dietary needs, Chief Executive Officer David Waters said.
“We provide nutritious meals for people who are living with a chronic illness and who can’t shop or cook for themselves,” he said.
