MANSFIELD – The latest blockbusters could be showing in Mansfield Crossing in 2021.

The Planning Board unanimously approved a special permit for a new movie theater at the School Street shopping plaza on Jan. 15.

Apple Cinemas plans to renovate the former Sports Authority space into a 10-theater boutique cinema with a total of 720 seats. The theater screens first-run films, offers luxury seating and plans to have food and alcohol service in the theaters and the lobby.
