The Mansfield Fire Chief is the Chief Executive Officer of the fire department. He is responsible for life safety, fire protection, and all-hazards mitigation for all residents and businesses. The Mansfield Fire Chief oversees all daily operations of the 40 full-time firefighters, including the Deputy Fire Chief, a Fire Prevention Division staffed by 2 Captains, an EMS Division Captain, and four groups of firefighters led by a Line Captain & Lieutenant. He is an integral part of the Fire Prevention and Code Enforcement Division that works with businesses and residents to ensure code compliance during inspections and construction projects, as well as assisting with and reviewing Safety & Hazard Mitigation Plans. The Mansfield Fire Chief and his administrative staff welcome meetings with local businesses to ensure their success in the town of Mansfield.
